Personality:
Positive Trait: Resilient - Despite the many things that Buffy has been through, she always finds the strength to pull through to the other side. She’s died twice to protect those she loves. She’s faced down many scary things, but she keeps coming back. Her friends and family help pull her through a lot of tough times, like when the Master killed her and she had to come back to kill him. Or when she had to endure the trouble with the way that the Watchers’ Council tested her and Giles for her eighteenth birthday. Even after stabbing Angel to close a portal to a hell dimension to save Sunnydale and running away for the summer to find herself, Buffy still returned to her home to face the truth of everything staring her in the face: she’s the Slayer and she is The Chosen One. None of it can be avoided, no matter what.

Negative Trait: Naive - Buffy started off as a spoiled, sheltered girl who was popular and cruel, beautiful and athletic. She was a Daddy’s Girl and got whatever she wanted from her parents. And then Merrick showed up and ruined her whole world. After the incident that led to her burning down a gym full of vampires that got her expelled from LA and was the final nail in the coffin of her parents’ marriage, Buffy came to Sunnydale and thought that she could start over. However, with the arrival of Giles, all of that came crashing into reality that she wasn’t escaping Destiny. However, she’s still just a girl. She was fifteen when tapped to be the Slayer and she’s had her heart broken by Angel and a few guys at college. For all of her cynicism, she’s still hopeful that things will turn out right in the end because she wants to believe in people. She keeps trying to find the good in people, long after they’ve hurt her. Even someone like Faith, who has repeatedly tried to ruin her life, Buffy believes there’s good inside her, but she wants her to face justice for what she’s done.

Negative Trait: Hypocritical - Buffy sees herself as a good person, but she buries all of the bad things she’s done too. She justifies a lot of the things she’s done and have been done around her on the fact that she’s The Slayer, but she sometimes refuses to see her own part to play in things. When Angel turned into Angelus, she fought so hard to keep from killing him, despite the fact that he’s a vampire and he hurt others. Yes, she loved him, but he was her enemy and she was letting him go around and torture those around her because she didn’t want to stake him. She got mad at anyone that suggested otherwise. She blames Faith and judges her harshly for all the things the other girl has done, but she doesn’t see nor does she really try to see that Faith never had the same things Buffy had and that her rigid way of thinking of life in black and white terms is why they will always be distant from each other. But, hey, it’s not like Buffy breaks any rules/laws, right? I mean, at least not the ones she likes.

Negative Trait: Impulsive - Buffy often does things without thinking them all the way through. She relies heavily on her intuition, which is mostly right, but also puts her at odds with those around her. A great deal of it has to do with the fact that she’s a teenager when she does things, but she doesn’t always think things through when she’s going through the day to day of life or as her duties as the Slayer. She went off to her death to try and defeat the Master at the end of her first year in Sunnydale, but had Xander not been there, she would have stayed dead and the Master would have had the full run over the Hellmouth. A year later, after her fight with Angel where she was forced to run him through to stun him and then kick him into the portal for Acathla to close it, she ran away from Sunnydale and went back to LA to hide for the entire summer. Had it not been for her run in with a group of demons that was killing teens who lived on the streets, she might not have ever gone back home to face the consequences of her actions

- Prophetic Dreaming that allows a Slayer to see future events to due with the Supernatural, such as events around the Master, Angel losing his soul, Spike and Drusilla’s movements
- Intellect - Buffy sometimes lets herself and others consider her a dumb blond, but she does have a great intellect when she applies herself: getting a near-perfect SAT score, able to figure out who’s a vampire by the fact that they’re wearing dated clothing in a very fashion conscientious group, and the fact that she intuits others’ intentions very quickly with very few clues given to her (even if she doesn’t recognize them at first)

- Talented Gymnast (she took lessons for this as a child as well)
- Cheerleader (She had the skills and strength to toss others and help keep them up in the air before she became the Slayer)
- Leadership skills (without formal training, Buffy is able to figure out the ways that each person’s skills in the group can be used and how and often gives her friends orders that they follow without question)
- Excellent Fashion taste (for a girl in the 90s and early 00s, she’s very trendy. Even still, she has some really classic looks that are amazing even now)
